Hello all,

I'm leaving the PH in 2 weeks heading to PT or SP but probably Albania. I'm looking for folks who are in Albania who can suggest good places to spent time, enjoy the country and culture, resources for finding rentals/condos/hotels.

I get conflicting information on the safety and cleanliness, friendliness of various cities, would like to hear more on that.

I'm SWM, no pets or attachments other than some luggage.

Where will you go?? What are you looking for? No one wants to write a book to cover everything. If you're looking for general information about various places, do an internet search.

If you want to include some more details, I spent enough time there I can probably give you some pointers, but you're really going to have to give me more to go on.

General rules - don't drink tap water, not very clean environments (people turn vacant lots into impromptu landfills, and destroy natural sites because they're too lazy to dump things properly), rather chaotic, worst drivers on the planet (and I've seen some other countries with really bad drivers), people will "act kind" yet I would not say are very friendly (they want your money, that's about it).

Airbnb will do you just fine. Most people do Tirana and the coast. You'll get by with English in tourist-frequented places.
