Looking for a recommendation for a legal firm to help me with my quest to obtain a long term visa for persons on independent means to Ireland. I am in the US and both me and spouse have US ports.

Unlike the US, it is entirely possible to immigrate to many, if not most, European countries without resorting to hiring a lawyer. In fact, for some countries, the use of a lawyer implies that you have something "peculiar" in your background that could actually complicate the process.
